Weather Shots

We caught the tail end of a tropical storm that rushed up out of the South Pacific to dump rain on us. Besides filling the winter water tank, it gave us quite a weather show. Here are a couple of my favorite shots:

When I first stepped out of the cabin, this gap in the clouds allowed a single, very focused shaft of light through. It looked like an alien abduction underway! By the time I grabbed my camera and returned, it had changed.

Forget running outside! I just snapped this one through the dooryard window.
