The Zeiger Family Homestead in Summer

Summer is by far our busiest season on the homestead. It's the one season where we feed ourselves best, from the garden, and from fishing and wildcrafting. Building projects, repairs, and improvements depend on the better weather. The wildlife around us is most active at this time. Visitors come to stay. Summer is when our lives are their fullest!
