The Zeiger Family Boat Building Page
Selkie
(Phil Bolger's Martha
Jane design)

When we found we couldn't build an AS39 (our first choice) in our front yard, we switched to Bolger's Martha Jane. His book, Boats With an Open Mind has an article on the Martha Jane and includes the AS-39 and 73 other designs that are well worth considering for the backyard boatbuilder, or the dreamer.
We began working on the Martha Jane, Selkie, November 14, 1998 and launched her June 29, 2001.
